When it comes to India’s Textile Industry, Textile exports have increased by 7% from USD 19 billion in 2017-18 to USD 20.4 billion in 2018-19 while Textile imports have remained stagnant at USD 5.6 billion in 2018-19, according to the data of Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence and Statistics.
A target of USD 20,100 million was fixed for cotton, man-made, woollen and silk textiles during 2018-19 against which exports were valued at USD 18,254 million, said India’s Textile Ministry on 13th December.
