Fortune’s third annual ‘World’s 50 Greatest Leaders’ list features leaders from across the globe, who are “transforming the world and inspiring others to do the same”. The list is topped by Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos.
47-year-old Aam Aadmi Party chief, Arvind Kejriwal, is ranked 42nd on the list. Fortune credits Kejriwal for his efforts to curb air pollution in Delhi through the scheme of allowing vehicles of odd and even numbers on roads on alternate days.
South Carolina’s Indian-American Governor Nikki Haley is at 17th on the list with another Indian- American Resham Saujani occupying the 20th place. The list includes German Chancellor Angela Merkel (2), Myanmar’s pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi (3), Pope Francis (4) and Apple CEO Tim Cook (5).
